This website is operated by the Plumstead Neighbourhood Watch NPC (CIPC NPC 2018/308882/08), of 38 Lympleigh Road, Plumstead, 7800. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Using the site automatically implies consent.
The PNW Street Camera Project is a community safety initiative of the Plumstead Neighbourhood Watch. It is a volunteer-run, donation-funded programme. The website provides public information about the project, accepts donations, and supports a private operations area used by vetted volunteers.
We publish information in good faith and try to keep it accurate and up to date. The content is provided on an "as is" basis. PNW does not warrant that the information is complete, error-free or current at any given moment, and disclaims liability for any loss arising from reliance on it, to the extent permitted by South African law.
Donations made through this site are processed by Netcash. By donating, you confirm that the funds are your own and that you authorise the transaction. Donations to the project are not refundable except where required by law or where we agree in writing.
Donations are applied to the running of the camera project — including purchasing equipment, installation, network, storage, monitoring and administration. PNW does not currently issue Section 18A tax certificates.
All content on this site — text, logos, photographs, diagrams and source code — is owned by PNW or used with permission by the developer. You may share short extracts with attribution for non-commercial community-safety purposes. You may not republish substantial portions, modify the content, or use the PNW name or marks without our written consent.
The site may link to external sites (for example payment providers, the City of Cape Town, SAPS, or partner organisations). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices.
The public site does not provide direct access to camera footage. Footage handling is described in our CCTV Notice. Requests for footage in connection with an incident must be made through the channels set out there.
Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PNW, its committee, members and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with the use of this site, the camera project, or reliance on information published. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under South African law (including the Consumer Protection Act, where applicable).
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be referred to the courts of the Western Cape, without prejudice to any small-claims or alternative-dispute procedures available.
